‘Would you escape with me?’
A motif open to interpretation:
Depending on your mood, it reveals a new meaning to the viewer. For some, it represents romantic longing, for others the desire to escape reality. And if you look closely, you may also discover a subtle critique of conservative role models and social expectations. The strength of the motif lies in its openness – it does not tell one story, but reflects many.
 
The hand-painted denim jacket is originally a second-hand jacket, but it is in perfect condition. After inspection and cleaning, it was finally hand-painted. The painted motif was immortalised with water-based textile paints. The motif was sealed by heating and is now water and UV resistant.
