I usually buy secondhand denim jackets and then decide what design to put on them. This one was a little different. When I saw the great color and the little fringes on the hem and back, Monstera leaves immediately came to mind. No sooner said than done! First, I cleaned and inspected the jacket, and then I grabbed my pencil and sketched three large leaves. Each leaf was to be different, because the shades of green looked fantastic on this salmon-colored jacket.


 The hand-painted design was immortalized using water-based textile paints. The design was then sealed by heating, making it water and UV resistant.
