This shirt was once white. And then came the greyish veil.
Not metaphorically, but quite literally – that awful, murky washing machine grey that had already crept onto the cotton straight from the factory.
So what to do? Throw it away? No.
Instead, I grabbed a paint pot and simply turned it into summer. Now the shirt shines in soft batik patterns between raspberry ice cream and flamingo, is made of pure cotton, new – but with a past.
The cut? A slightly cropped top. Not flashy and revealing, but definitely a bit of an "I'm ready for a picnic if you are" vibe.
